Originally, I was going to take a photo of a group of girls for the image advertising 'Ayre You Ready'. I researched promotional pictures Geordie Shore and Jersey Shore had done, and thought it would be good to create a similar image for our website.
Geordie Shore
Jersey Shore
I also looked at their logos, and decided to just have the logo on the website, as after a bit of thought, having a photograph of the cast on the launch site may turn members of the audience biased against the show. Some people may be put off by the type of characters in the image, and therefor choose not to watch the show, whereas if we show just the logo, there will be no audience expectations, and will have to watch the show to find out more.
Completed 'Ayre You Ready?' Logo
To create this logo, I searched 'distorted border' in google images for the background, and for the text I downloaded the font 'New York City' from dafont.com. I think the combination of the black background and the pink writing goes well together, as they contrast with each other, allowing the text to stand out to the audience, and the colours are girly but not over-the-top girly, making it relatable to all members of our target audience. I chose to use this particular font as it fits perfectly with the 'party' girls the cast members of 'Ayre You Ready' are.
